LHD boundaries as described are approximate and subject to change. Consult the LHD Study Report on file with the relevant local district commission or municipal authority to verify district boundaries and whether a specific property, particularly one in proximity of a boundary line, is within the district. Also note that LHD boundaries may differ from those of State or National Register Districts.
This is a two-story four-bay facade with entry in line with the regular four bays, but not in the center. Entrance has side pilasters supporting flat hood, blank frieze. The building has six-over-six sash windows. The corners of the house have pilasters which go up to the wide eaves board. One end of the house has wider space between windows and end of the wall.
This is one of the few old houses remaining in West Hartford. It has unusual decorative details and it still retains its broad welcoming aspect, especially seen in the gable ends.
